Camping in Ópusztasze

Please note that this came before my post "I'm Going to Get Diabetes". My wifi has been real sketch until now and I didn't realise that this hadn't been published!

There was a wedding at the campground where we're staying this weekend so we had to leave. We drove a half hour to the town of Ópusztasze and stayed at a campground there. It was quaint and perhaps cleaner than our regular lodgings. We spent the first day there touring an historic village. There were quite a few interesting exhibits and plenty of photo opportunities. After that we ate a lunch of gulyas, which was much better than what I made before I left and spent the afternoon making our way through a labyrinth after hearing the tale of Theseus and the Minotaur - a tale I know by heart.
They had been roasting a full pig on a spit all day and we had that for dinner along with pickled cabbage. I have been noticing a theme of pickled cabbage during my time here so far.
The next was tasty jam or chocolate filled pastries for breakfast and back to our original campground.
Yesterday was our last full day of language camp. Today Erzsebet and Imre (my second host parents as well as Felipe's first host parents) will take me to the house where I will be staying for the next six months. All I know is that they have a son Dávid who will be leaving on exchange soon to Indonesia and two Golden Retrievers. I can't wait!
